Figaro!

I'm a real nerd. I love classical literature, museums, concert halls, ballets, and of course La Scala. It was eight years ago when I first saw this legendary theatre. And being younger at that time, I thought it was the only "world" - hidden behind those doors - that mattered.

I've been needing a little pick-me-up, and a good opera was just the thing. So, after the gym today, I headed to the ticket office one hour before the show started.

I saw The Marriage of Figaro, and was lucky enough to be at the ninth row - very nice seat considering I got the ticket last minute.

I was glad to see that even children and grannies had a good time (hey, who doesn't like Mozart). The music, the performance, the set... The real world seemed like a cruel and ugly place after I got out of the theatre :-(

Just before summer, I had gone to La Scala for a very special event in collaboration with Montegrappa, the Italian fountain pen company. As part of the press, we saw La Traviata (Seventh row seat: the view was just as good here). The whole thing went from cocktails to the opera to the dinner. I finally got home at 2 a.m. It was a wonderful event.

Coming up: La Prairie Anti-aging liquid foundation review and FOTD.

Nemesis????I think not my cultured compadre!! You went to see Figaro!! I adored the performance that I saw in London's Covent Garden.

I too immerse myself in classical lit, dance, opera but I like all forms of theatre.

I propose a fellowship instead xx

Uhh I think I need to be more cultured hahaa. I've been meaning to go to the opera, but never found the time or remembered to. I think it's something everyone should do at least once!

Haha thank you! I actually really like the color grey, but the majority of my wardrobe is black haha. I've been making more of an effort to buy grey clothing though! I love the sweater too!

Awww, cosmetic service is so important. I'm sorry that the La Prairie counter in Milan sucks. I think in a week or so I'll start using the La Prairie stuff. I used Nars Aqua Hydrator last night and I'm liking it so far. I don't want to start using too much new stuff in case I can't tell what's actually working. I really only need the Marine Biology Cream right now so I'm planning on just purchasing that for the time being and finish up my CDLM. I'm just scared that after I use the samples I'm gonna want it all!

Aw does your mom live in the states? That's gotta be tough =T. Any chance it'll get better in the near future?

Great customer service at cosmetic counters is so important! I'm sorry you don't have that in Milan for the time being. Yeah, I'm excited to try the samples, which I think I'll start doing in a week. I started using Nars Aqua Gel Hydrator last night and I don't want to use too much new stuff at once. I want to be able to tell what's working. I'm so scared I'm going to love all 3 products from the Marine Biology line and have to have them as soon as I run out of the samples. I only need the Cream right now.. haha

Aw that's gotta be tough to see your mom once a month! Is there a chance it'll get better sometime soon in the near future?

Haha yeah so my list mainly consists of Kate, Integrate, Majolica Majorca, and Lavshuca.

That sounds great! I'll try to remember to get it next time I'm at Nordys or Sephora. My hair produces so much oil by the end of the day!

Hehe kk. Let me know what you think! I was looking online on MUA, and Armani's powders weren't rated very well...which is why I was inching towards Chanel, Prescriptives, and Dior.
