Madina Magic

Thank you for everyone's messages during my absence. I actually read your blogs after work, but I haven't written any entries for over a week. I've been working a lot (still am), and I got a mix of spring allergies and a cold (!).

I'd like to tell you about Madina Milano, a local makeup brand. There's a boutique near my home, but I've never looked into its products - till I found out they offer a talc-free powder.

It's very matte, fine and has creamy, medium coverage. It's something that I never expected from a loose powder! The only drawback is it does have two types of parabens. But I thought I could overlook that given how wonderful and comfortable it is.

Yay! Glad you're back. You're still living in Italy, correct? What a classy looking store. I don't like going into stores when they're empty like in the pic. Scary sales associates... =P

Hi Cheryl~~ I LOVE MUFE's Aqua Eyes pencil liners, they are definitely the most long lasting and smudge proof pencil liners I've ever used. I use them on my water line and they stay put for the whole day (except a bit of running at the outer corners but that's inevitable). Plus, there are so many colors to choose from!
Love Shu Uemura's pencils too but they are not as long lasting (even though they are still up there).
What do you use to apply the HD powder? I use a brush and can't really tell if I got any on my face... haha, wonder if I should be using a puff. I'm adding your link too! =)

Great tip on using different shades of the same color family for upper and lower lips! I do a lot of layering with sticks and glosses, but never though of using different colors on top and bottom~ Gotta try that one out!

Waah that's very good actually for 22euro! gosh I wish they had such brands here...

fuzkittie: i'll have to try out the MUFE pencils then! applying the HD powder is tricky. the brand recommends a kabuki brush or a fluffy puff. i tried the puff - simply didn't work. so i use a full round brush. yea u really can't see the powder, but it gives u such a nice, matte finish all day long! i love it!

nic nic: madina's shop online service is for italy only (for now anyway) :-( i believe it has limited distribution in the e.u. though...
