Smokey is Out

Summer's coming up so instead of dark smokey eyes, these lighter versions on Style.com are beautiful. What do you think?

I love this website. This is where you can find the latest runway shows and backstage makeup tips. These three images are from Preen's 2009 show.

Here are the products used.

Eyes: any nude, grey hues that complements your skintone
Cheeks: MAC Mineralised Skinfinish Duo
Lips: MAC Lipglass in Jam-packed
Hair: Bumble & Bumble Spray de Mode

oo i heard the greys are def in.. like a smokey grey, they are subtle and still sexy at the same time!

my visa is going so-so i asked for a extension from the company to send all the documents to them.. ive decided to change me passport's name.. argh long story with that, but to cut to the short story, it just to make my visa application as straightforward as poss >_< im waiting for email to confirm it okay to extend.. never knew it could be stressful to do this! LOL.

Ive been recently using my Shiseido curler more than the shu one and i really think its curler better than the shu one! i dont have press as much and i get better results, i think you should definitely look into a shiseido curler!

nic: paperworks can be stressful! do u have a full chinese name plus an english name like me? sometimes i find my chinese name bothersome but i think it does probably protect me from identity fraud...

my lashes are not sparse, just short, lol! i'll check out the shiseido curler.

bliss: i think it looks great too, but i'm still searching for grey/taupe eyeshadows. I realized that so few brands offer these colours!

I'm one of those people who considers herself lucky when a trend like this is the hottest style for the season - because my makeup skills suck and I can't do smokeys anyway, hahaha!
I guess you can say I'm trying to make it seem like I'm only doing the subtle looks because they are in, but really I just do them all the time. XD

fuz: i know what u mean! i've tried the darker smokey look but i just don't think it works with the shape of my eyes.

I love these lighter looks; it always looks so much nicer and fresher, especially for the spring and summer months. I always love spring/summer looks more than fall/winter ones since everything is done with such a lighter hand; plus, I find that light makeup looks better on me than heavy makeup (I think it partially has to do with having a babyface). ^^"
